I promise this is the last I’ll talk about my beach vacation ;) But it was pretty marvelous, so it makes sense to continue the discussion today!
Although modest from the outside, the house we rented was spacious and very updated on the inside. It had 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms which was perfect because we vacationed with some extended family members. We had a very nice pool out back, which unfortunately didn’t feel too refreshing in the 90+ degree heat and humidity.
One of my favorite parts of the week was going to yoga at the quaint studio in town. There were only classes once a day (I went a total of 3 times) but the instructors were amazing. Beach yoga on Thursday was heaven!
On the 4th we went to a cookout at our friends house and watched the fireworks on the beach. I didn’t take any pictures of fireworks because a) They didn’t photograph well on my iPhone and b) Because unless you’re in a major city, most fireworks look the same (right?).
But more than anything, I loved
napping being with my family. We really are a close-knit family and have fun together no matter what we’re doing. This morning sure was a rude awakening (literally) and I’m guessing work today will drag on, but I’m so grateful for the week we had! Really couldn’t have asked for anything more.
How was your 4th?!
What was your favorite vacation? Ever? Probably Europe 2 years ago.
