How is your weekend so far? I’m so happy I have tomorrow off from work and school. I think I might treat myself to a massage (my guilty pleasure). This week I had more rest than normal but I’m fine with that. I was exhausted and my body needed somewhat of a break. I still had a few good runs and finally go to go to my beloved (and $$$) hot yoga class. Funny/sad story…I saw an amazing deal on Groupon for 2 months unlimited at my yoga studio. I jumped on the offer and realized after I paid that it wasn’t valid if I had been within the last 6 months. After a mini-panic attack I called the studio and they just credited my Groupon towards a package. I ended up spending double and getting 1/4 of the Groupon #fail.
Monday: 4.25 miles
Wednesday: 7 miles in the morning + spin at night
Thursday: Hot yoga. I go to a Baptiste Yoga studio and almost every class is heated and power yoga. I sweat buckets and get my heart rate up through many fast sun salutations. Some days I like the power classes and other times I like “slow flow.”
Friday: 4.75 miles
Saturday: 20 minutes of upper body weights
Sunday: 15 miles (hopefully! I’m writing this on Saturday night so I’m currently preparing for an early wake-up call). I had to switch my long run to Sunday because of a work commitment. I foresee having to do this again in the coming weeks.
