I never thought I’d be writing this post. Well, I knew it would come but the waiting was testing my patience.
I’ve been keeping a secret for a few weeks now because a) I didn’t think it was real life and b) I needed to give myself some time to adjust. While the adjusting part is still alive and well I wanted to add some context to my “silence,” both here and on social media.
You guys…I got a job! Right before Thanksgiving I accepted an offer at a digital marketing agency in Tampa. It happened very fast…faster than I expected based on previous interviews. I have a million and one thoughts/questions/feelings about life (present and future), but we’ll save the saga and details for another post. Right now, I’m so grateful for a start. For a chance. For experience. For money (low on the totem pole but still relevant). For the opportunity to learn from talented people.
My presence online and on social media correlates with my energy and focus, so it’s safe to say both have been lacking. I have no doubt that I’ll get into a blogging/Instagram routine, but for right now my posts will likely be more sporadic. I’m not going anywhere so just buckle in for a new chapter…and a learning curve without a set end-date!

I didn’t expect getting a job to solve all of my worries about life. I’d argue that it added a few big ones! I cry, journal and pray like it’s a side-gig because it’s in my nature to want immediacy. I do have faith that there are more good “things” waiting ahead, so the challenge is (still) to savor the now. To appreciate every stage without comparing or needing X to be happy. Life isn’t, and never was, half bad.
I want to thank you all for your continual support…no matter the topic! Your emails, comments and feedback have been such a comfort. I know I’ve shared some deeper (arguably darker) posts and while I’ve tried to spin things nicely, I for one am so excited for more positivity.
So…yay for a job! Yay for Christmas in T-13 days! Yay for getting my foot in the door. Here’s to a helluva lot of learning.
Have a great week!
xo
