Get to Know Bayshore Fit (Boutique Gym + Personal Training in Tampa)

03/10/16 | Featured, Fitness, Reviews

This post is sponsored by Bayshore Fit. All opinions, as always, are my own. Thanks for your support of My Healthyish Life!

I’m so excited to kick off a series of fitness-focused posts with Bayshore Fit, a boutique gym in my neighborhood in South Tampa. I’ve been wanting to bring back some aspect of fitness to the blog (besides running) yet, because I’m not a certified trainer, I don’t feel comfortable giving out workouts that I make up on a whim. With this partnership I will be sharing workouts and how-to posts created by Bayshore Fit trainers. The content will be applicable to everyone, even if you don’t live in the Tampa area. Although I highly suggest you move here, it’s summer year round.

This is an introductory, overview post so we can go right into the fitness part next month.

My thoughts

-The fact that you never have to wait for or share equipment is a huge plus.
-The staff knows you by name and is always available to answer questions.
-30-minute classes are great when you’re in a crunch (plus in the Lunch Crunch and Yogalates classes you don’t get too sweaty that you can take a European shower and go back to work).
-The SHED class walks you through how to use “scary” equipment (scary to me, at least). More on the SHED soon.
-A free towel service.
-The best location in town if you want to run before lifting (I do that a lot!). Right next to Bayshore!

Wow that sounds like a really great gym and looks very modern and clean too! I’m a member at the YMCA only because it has a pool. The downsides are that it’s not my favorite gym environment and it’s really not convenient to me, but I wish places like this had a pool!

Ohh I can see how that is an important factor! This doesn’t have a pool but there are tons for use in FL :)

The best part about my gym is that it’s 24 hours. Usually when I go it’s me and older people. They are great companions and are hilarious! I hope I’m still working out when I’m old :-)

That is a great benefit! I used to go to the gym really early at college and got to know the older folks there. They have a cute routine.

This gym looks awesome! And I feel like I’d love the SHED class. I belong to a gym and the best part is that it’s less than a 3 minute drive from both my apartment and work. I know that convenience is a huge factor for me and I need a gym that’s not too far away from me. Also, it just got completely renovated so all new equipment is definitely a plus :)

YES. Convenience is a huge factor for me too. I went to one for a trial session that took 20 minutes without traffic. It deterred me from signing up!

What a beautiful gym! That SHED looks right up my alley, too!

I love using that functional-training equipment. TRX, kettle bells, etc.

Looks like a super nice gym! I am not a fan of the big gyms that are packed and you always have to wait for equipment (hence why I never go), but I like the idea of a more intimate atmosphere.

After having to fight for equipment at my big college gym, I’d rather not have to now!

I’ve never heard of Bayshore Fit, but I really like the concept! Their classes sound great too.

I like that most of them are 30-45 minutes. A perfect workout length for me!
