Hello from a new college grad! Life is SO different now and I feel like I can conquer the world….April December Fool’s. But I do feel accomplished. Once I get settled at home I will write a recap of the week’s events.
Now that I’m done with school and packing/moving, I can finally get excited for Christmas. I mean, I’ve always been excited but I needed to get through some roadblocks first. One of the first things that put me in a holiday mood? Receiving (and sending) my Blogger’s Gonna Blog (BGB) secret santa gift! Read this post for more info on BGB.
The lovely leaders of the BGB community, Christina and Georgie, organized a virtual secret santa and we all received our presents last week. BGB is the most supportive blogging community and the members have proven to me that friends can be virtual. These ladies are rock star bloggers and just pretty special people all around.
Back to my gift… I was oh-so lucky to open my mailbox and see Georgie’s name on the return address label. I seriously gasped out of excitement.
My gasp was well-warranted because she sent me a box of awesomeness.
December 6th felt like Christmas morning.
Food: A Squarebar, Justin’s, Vega protein powder, Salba chia seeds, a That’s It bar, a HUGE jar of Chocolate Nuttzo, and Honey + Flax Barney Butter.
Non-food: A special lens for my iPhone to (hopefully) help improve my pictures (I need all the help I can get) and The Happiness Project One-Sentence Journal. It’s a five-year journal where you write one line a day, every day. I will keep it by my bed so I remember to do it!
Soooo, did I win the secret santa jackpot or what? Of course she sent a nice note along with the gifts. Handwritten notes are a favorite of mine.
A special thanks again to Georgie for the best surprise package ever.
What’s the best Secret Santa gift you’ve received?
so much goodness! This swap was awesome!

Of course Georgie would send literally the best secret santa gift ever. It’s literally perfect for you! Tell us how you like those lenses when you get a chance to try them out!

Oooh glad to hear your friend had success with the lenses! Thank you!! Being home feel great.
I have been meaning to get one of those 1 line a day journals! I think they’re such a good idea. Also I didn’t even know they made lenses for iPhones like that, those are awesome! Congrats again on being done with school :)

I didn’t know they made those lenses either! I’m excited to experiment. Thanks, Amanda!
Wow, what a great idea. Everything in that present has a definite use around here. Lucky you! And finishing with school does bring a whole new feeling on life and perspective – enjoy it!

I think I could make a full day’s worth of meals out of the food in the gift! Everything will be happily eaten :)
Georgie would come up with the perfect gift. I so enjoyed doing this as well!
I wouldn’t be surprised if Georgie was Santa in disguise. She knew exactly what I love!
(Congrats again, you little graduate!! ;) )
So fun! Yay nut butter <3
And I LOVE my 5 year journal! Mine, that I got last year, has a question for each day, but you just write a short blurb. Then you can see how your answers change over the 5 years! Always fun and it's my nightly ritual every day!

Thank you :) Ah that’s exactly what I need to do. Make it a morning or nightly ritual to fill out the journal.
My coworkers and I did a secret staff exchange and it was so much fun! I love this idea, and I’m so glad you got to partake. :) That nuts looks AMAZING.

Secret Santa and White Elephant are the best little Christmas games :)
I opted out of the BGB Secret Santa but seeing everyone’s packages are making me wish I had joined in! I love the journal, that sounds like such a fun idea.

I’m really going to try to (remember to) fill out the journal everyday. I think I’ll be happy in the long run!
What an amazing package! I love secret santa and all the maths students in my college did one every year whilst I was at university. The gift had to be (very!) loosely maths themed so we had lots of mince ‘pi’s’ but also some very quirky things like tessellation pattern colouring books and Rubiks cube jewelry.
xx

That is such a clever idea!!! I like that you had a theme for the exchange.
First off, opening a box of confetti like that is amazing. Second, who doesn’t love nut butter?
I would have been more than happy with just ONE jar of nut butter!
such an awesome gift! I am jealous! xx, kenz
Secret Santa is always such a fun thing to do during the holidays! I love that notebook, I need it! And there are so many healthy goodies here, it makes me want to make a trip to Whole Foods or Trader Joe’s!
