I knew the time would come when I forgot to do a “currently” post. I unintentionally skipped February’s recap, which worked in my favor because it took me way too long to finish the book I’ve featured for the last two months. Stay tuned for a post on the book because it struck a chord. Truthfully, these posts are filler, light-hearted content that are (obviously) easy to write. I enjoy reading these posts on other blogs but I’d love to hear your opinion!

March 2016
Current book: I just started reading “Room.” Too little too late for the Oscar’s but I’ll watch the movie eventually. So far the book is great!
I finished “What Alice Forgot” two weeks ago. Here’s the sad truth: Once I put down my phone and remembered I had a book on my side table, I finished it in less than 48 hours. It was so funny, endearing and my favorite out of Liane Moriarty’s books (I also read “The Husband’s Secret” and “Big Little Lies”).
Current song: One new(ish) song and one throwback. “Drink You Away” by Justin Timberlake (a favorite since the CMA performance in November) and, continuing with the Justin Timberlake theme, “Pop” by *NSYNC.
Current excitement: I leave for California this weekend! I’m excited to drink all the smoothies and eat all the acai bowls during my vacation. Any food recommendations in LA/San Diego?
Current drink: Plain Bigelow green tea.
Current guilty pleasure: Shopping for actual clothes, as opposed to workout clothes and food. I bought some new outfits for California that I’m excited to wear. I’m sure pictures will appear sometime ;)
Current food: Everything and anything spiralized. Zoodles, coodles (carrot noodles), swoodles (sweet potato noodles), boodles (beet noodles) cucoodles (cucumber noodles). Oh, and tuna fish. Can I be any more random?
Current need: To finish up posts for next week. This is where I tell you that while I will have some new posts next week, I won’t be bringing my computer to reply to comments right away. I’ll be sharing highlights from my trip when I get back but check Instagram to follow along!
Current blessing: The ability and opportunity to travel.
Current workout: Megaformer, body weight moves, running and spinning. Basically, whatever I’m in the mood for that day.
Current procrastination: Honestly? I’m procrastinating answering this question because I can’t think of a response. Let’s leave it at that.
Current mood: Antsy. I want the long flight over with so I can just get there and enjoy the trip! How can we not teleport yet?
Current e-card/funny quote: This is not a game. They are my prized possessions…

I’m so excited for you going to California! I’ve only been once when we went to Napa after I graduated college and it was amazing. I bet the weather is going to be perfect this time of year. I need to be buying more actual clothes for Italy in July- it’s a lot less painful when I start ahead of time and am not spending everything the month before!

Talk to Laura of Sprint 2 the Table of San Diego food recommendations! And Melissa Burton of the Valentine RD for LA recommendations. Two of my favorite people, they won’t steer you wrong! I have come to love the JT song. For some reason (I think because I heard the live version first) I didn’t connected with it at first. The second time, I didn’t even know it was him until halfway through the song, and I loved it!

I am ALL about spirlizing things!! Girl I’m serious- if you have time, let’s meet up in San Diego!! We can have a spirlizing party 🙋🏼❤️
Looks like we are both travelling next week! I am looking forward to warm weather in NOLA when I am down there next week. I hope you have a wonderful time on your trip… eat all the acai bowls for me! I want one so bad!

My favorite tea right now is raspberry zinger. It’s really strong and great for after lunch. My last vacation was to Washington DC in October. It was amazing even if it rained the whole time :-) Not exactly California, but good enough for me. I’d like to take more “runcations” this year.

haha Pop might be my fave nsync song! and yay for what alice forgot, it is my fave of hers as well. i really enjoyed Room (the book) but haven’t seen the movie yet.
When you head to San Diego, go to Cabrillo National Monument. The lighthouse is amazing! Also there’s a restaurant in the Gaslamp District of downtown called the Broken Yolk that looks like a greasy spoon but has GF pancakes that are pretty tasty :)
I love your variety of veggie noodles and their names! haha. Looking forward to seeing pictures of all your smoothies and acai bowls during your trip.

Okay we are book twins.. I just finished Room a few weeks ago and loved What Alice Forgot. Room was a great read and I’m excited to see the movie. So exciting about California! That’ll be so much fun! I’m antsy to plan some trips for this summer/fall.

Pukka ‘Clean Green’ tea- it has a lovely hint of lemon to give it an edge over the pure green versions.
Hope you have an amazing time in California and I am definitely looking forward to hearing about it on the blog later on :)
xx
PS. Your idea for a nutbutter swap is brilliant- perhaps when you return from vacation we could exchange email addresses and set something up (a sort of post-Easter care package)?
My last vacation was when we went to Georgia for the weekend for the Chickamauga Marathon. My last real trip was when we went to Montana for the week – Glacier was so cool! Enjoy your trip to California!

I really want to read Room – especially after all the Oscar buzz it got.
Have fun in CA – I’m a teensy bit jealous, but in just not in the traveling “season” of life right now. :)
Thanks so much for the link love <3

I am the tea queen and I never get sick of it. Currently I have english breakfast (my daily must have), vanilla chai, choc peppermint rooibos, caramel rooibos, ginger and vanilla mint tea. Hot tea is probably the only good thing about winter for me – even though I drink it all summer long too :P
I loved the book Room so much that I’m actually scared to watch the movie. I hate when you get SO into a book and then the movie just doesn’t measure up!

I can’t wait to hear about your California trip! I’ve always wanted to go there. My favorite brand of tea is the Yogi teas because they have cute little quotes attached to the tea strings :)

I hope you had the best time in California!! I love shopping for new clothes too as I also get wrapped-up in workout stuff, ha. LOL to the eyebrow game.
