I can’t believe it’s already been one month since I did my first “Currently” post. I remembered to do another one so hopefully I can continue this trend.
Current book: “Girl on the Train.” Yes, still. I’m not proud to admit that I didn’t finish it last month when I said I would. BUT I picked it up on Sunday and am already half way through. It’s getting addicting.
Current song: “Love Myself” by Hailee Steinfeld and “John Cougar, John Deere, John 3:16” by Keith Urban. Yes, I love country music.
Current drink: The exact same as last month: kombucha (preferably Gingerade ) and CocoLibre coconut water.
Current guilty pleasure: Tanning….during the school week. No class on Friday and one class on Monday has its perks.
Current food: Kolat Superfood Fusion Almond Butter. Guys, buy this now. It’s incredible and they have a bunch of different flavors too. It’s been less than a week and I’m almost out of it. Good thing because I’m restraining myself from opening the other jar my mom bought me until I finish it.
Current need: To book flight a flight home for Thanksgiving break. The only reason I’m putting this off is because I’m debating if I should skip class and fly home a day earlier than planned. Leaning toward yes…
Current workout: Running. Nothing much to add.
Current procrastination: Folding this pile of laundry. I don’t mind doing laundry, but folding and putting away? I’m the worst.
Current confession: I’m not one to do (or admit) this often, but I’m still not in the school groove. I guess I could chalk it up to Senioritis but I’m unmotivated to do more than the bare minimum of studying/homework in certain classes. I also think it’s because 3/5 classes don’t really interest me (required classes) so I don’t want to spend extra time on them. I’d rather invest my energy into the classes and projects I DO like and will benefit me in my future career. Have you ever felt like this? How do you get through?
Current blessing: A loving family who still sends care packages, letters and magazines to their senior in college.
Current excitement: EAGLES. FOOTBALL. THIS WEEK.
Current mood: A little bored but content.
Current link: Zelle (Runner’s World affiliate). Zelle is a women’s running-focused website with tons of articles related to running (duh), fitness, nutrition and life. It’s easy to get sucked in.
I have never tried almond butter but have heard so many amazing things about it! Definitely going to have to check it out! xx, kenz

Almond butter is delicious! Especially those with a little added flavor.
Now I know what reading I’ll be doing instead of required reading for classes… Zelle looks awesome! Can’t wait to dive in later today and read the articles!

Much better reading in my opinion :)
That nut butter…WOWZERS…Definitely looks likes something I would like to try as I NEVER turn down any sort of nut butter…HA!

You would LOVE it!
Gingerade is the bomb! I’ve tried a bunch of booch and GTS is still my favorite.

I have to agree. Although I’ve only tried one other brand :P
Love the gingerade kombucha!

That and gingerberry are my favorite flavors!
I didn’t know you were an Eagles fan…that’s a bit of a problem since I’m a Steelers fan…not sure I can continue to visit your blog knowing that.. (I’m only half kidding).
Current confession is that I’m freaking out about work lately..there’s a lot of change and uncertainty coming. It’s the first time since I started working that I don’t know what’s going to happen and it’s really stressing me out :(
The battle of Pennsylvania. You’ve got that one covered because at least you have a ring…actually, many rings! Sorry to hear about your work situation. I fully understand how scary the unknown can be.
So jealous of your mid-week tanning sessions. I would be out by that pool every single day :)
And I’m a MAJOR Giants fan…. hope we can still be friends :) Haha.

OH MAN. You were my favorite until that revelation….just kidding. We can still be friends other than 2 days a year when we play each other :)
Kolat is so great! I LOVE the cherry vanilla one!
And obviously skip class…..shouldn’t even be debatable!
And…no I am not in the school groove! I thought I was going to die yesterday! So crazy busy!

Ah that’s the flavor I’m waiting to open! I know things will feel normal eventually but even 3 weeks in and it still feels weird.
I’m not a big fan of almond butter, however I have scarfed down an entire jar of peanut butter in a little less than two days, seriously.
Here you go, worst mom of the year award goes to me, because I got so busy blogging, my son missed the bus.

I’ve done that too. I average 1 1/2 jars a week. Ah the bus isn’t that great anyway :)
Yes to flying home a day early. I always did that. All about the tanning during the weekday. Yes yes yes. I am the WORST at putting clothes away. The. Worst. Oh, and Zelle is my fave. They have some great articles.

Booked my flight a day early. No regrets. I’m even worse about putting away clothes when I’m at home. I literally keep stacks of clean clothes next to my dresser because I’m too lazy to put them away.
I don’t think seniors should be required to take uninteresting classes! It’s okay to want to avoid doing anything :) I shouldn’t say that but it’s true!
Good luck!

Glad I’m not alone in this! :)
i love that Keith urban song!
I have a feeling that when I get back to school senioritis is going to hit real hard- especially taking those required classes that I have no interest in. Hope the studying goes well for you!! :)

I swear I had senioritis last year too. It’s a real disease.
Oooo i like reading these “currents”! Super jealous of your ability to tan twice during the school week. I miss having those days off.

I know how lucky am I to have this time now. Especially given the location of my school!
That almond butter (and the cashew varieties) look absolutely amazing! I am v. jealous as I haven’t spotted anything like that in the UK market yet….
Confession; my final year of uni is pretty much summed up by your own confession… BUT after three years I finally realised that there is nothing wrong with that and this made my last few months much happier. Do what you need to do for the modules you are not so keen on and use that extra energy to get the most out of the parts you enjoy :)

I don’t think they are sold in many large grocery stores in the US so I was lucky my mom picked a few up for me. I LOVE your confession and reasoning :) I agree that taking a more relaxed approach has made me much happier.
The Girl On the Train really doesn’t pick up until the last half of the book, in my opinion. I am also staring at a pile of clean laundry I have to put away but I think that is a task I will save for the weekend! My boyfriend is an Eagles fan so I guess I am an Eagles fan by association? I have definitely watched more Eagles games than any other team!
Yes that makes you a fan :) The book is just starting to pick up, my sister warned me about the first half lull.
I am so jealous of your tanning sessions! I need to get to the beach haha, feeling pasty. I hear you about not being in the school groove. I have been procrastinating on assignments and not staying as organized as I would like. I am going to attribute it to being super busy lately, and it only being the third week of school… no stress girlfriend, you got this!

I really am not in school mode either. I loved summer where my biggest concern was what time I had to work that day, but when I was done with work I could do whatever I want. Now I go to school majority of the day and then I still have homework to do. I have been doing the bare minimum for majority of my classes because I’m just trying to survive.

I guess that’s something to look forward to after college…no homework (hopefully). Yes, I love studying outside!
By the way, you are so lucky to have a pool by campus. I would be out there all the time doing homework and such.

Do you refrigerate the almond butter? I’ve been keeping mine in the fridge, but it’s been hard to spread.
The only brands I refrigerate are Whole Foods and Trader Joe’s! The rest I keep in the pantry. I agree that they can be hard to spread.
I love that Keith Urban song! Have you heard “Kick the dust up” by Luke Bryan? It’s sooooo catchy :)
Love that one too! Consider me a fan of all of his songs :)
