The number of good meals I’ve had over break have made up for all my failed attempts in the kitchen. Food has been GOOD lately. Bonus points that it looks prettier than normal, at least I think so. If you’re looking for me I’ll be over here happily riding this home-cooked-meal train for a few more days.

Breakfast: Two bowls of oatmeal with Justin’s Maple Almond Butter (obsessed) and Barney Butter + strawberries + a handful of almonds + a bowl of watermelon (I was too happy to eat it to take a picture)
Lunch: Sushi bowl. Quinoa salad with dried cranberries (the quinoa was cooked with half almond milk and half water…so good), zucchini noodles, sushi grade tuna with ginger, 1/2 avocado.
Un-pictured snack: carrots + almonds + kombucha
Dinner: Fresh Kitchen, one of my favorite spots in Tampa because everything is gluten-free.
In my bowl: sweet potato noodles, kale slaw, citrus chicken, grilled steak, honey roasted carrots and coconut cauliflower. My mom and I ate dinner outside. It was perfect.
Snack: Apple (with a side of dog) and peanut butter
Love sushi! Trying to make a paleo keto friendly version of it though, and the last thing I ate was chicken skin :)

I’ve been wanting to make sushi too but I get too lazy and just order it :)
Loving that sushi bowl – what a delish day of eats!

I wish I could repeat all of those meals every day!
Jealous of your home-cooked meals! I still have a week until break, but I’ll be sure to enjoy the delicious food when I get the chance :)
I think I’m in a weird minority of people who can actually take or leave sushi. I feel like it’s really polarizing for most people. I wouldn’t order it over a nice piece of cooked fish, but I don’t actively dislike it.

Now that my break is over I’m jealous you haven’t started yours ;) I used to hate sushi and I’d still probably choose a cooked piece of cooked salmon over raw.
Even though I eat fish…I don’t think I could ever do raw! So….”scary”! I’m just crazy about foodborne illness and what not….but it also seems like it would be a creepy texture! (P.S. THANK YOU for finally getting comment reply notification turned on ;) hahahaha!)

Oh I won’t eat sushi if I have any doubt about the quality. But this stuff was GOOD. Yeah I’m glad I finally figured that out :)
Uhm, your sushi bowl looks DANK! I HAVE to try it! Yum! Way to go on all the healthy meals! You make it looks so easy :)

Haha it was a perfectly crisp Pink Lady apple. Yay for a fellow sushi lover!
I am not a huge fan of sushi. I like vegetable rolls and that is about it. Although your sushi bowl looks pretty darn good!

I love avocado and vegetable rolls. I get them a lot at Whole Foods. If you’re interested in trying sushi again, I could suggested the cooked rolls to start!
Yum! That dinner spot sounds good- I wish we had them here in RIchmond!
Trust me, I wish they were in Miami. I take advantage of it when I’m home!
That bowl looks absolutely delicious! I have been eating fresh Alaskan salmon this week and it is absolutely delicious, I don’t know if I am going to be able to go back to frozen salmon anymore!

Yeah it’s a hit or miss for most people. Avocado and vegetable rolls are a good substitute!
That is the prettiest apple! All your eats DO look great. I think the maple almond butter is my favorite from Justin’s! (closely followed by the vanilla) I could legit eat it out of the jar.
Sushi? LOVE <3

I haven’t tried the vanilla flavor but after going through this jar in a week I think I will like it. Oh girl, I eat it out of the jar every day :) Sushi date this summer?!
