After many vague posts these past few months, I’m so happy to finally share that this summer I will be living and working in New York City!

I’m looking forward to many running, food and blogging adventures in my favorite place. For 10 years I lived less than 30 miles outside of the city (I actually lived in Manhattan for a few months) so I know it well. But now, I’m ready to see it from a different point of view. To learn the streets on my own and see if I can “handle” city life as a young adult. This is a step out of my comfort zone, as I could have easily gone home to Tampa, but a step I’m ready for.
It’s time to “get my New York on” in a different way. Thankfully the weather has turned since the marathon. I refused to go back until winter was over.
LeBron took his talents TO South Beach, and I’m taking mine AWAY from South Beach…temporarily ;)
Congrats! That is so exciting :)

Thank you! Yeah it’s been a long process (much longer than I anticipated) so I’m glad everything is settled :)
Wow congratulations! I’m sure that will be an incredible experience! How exciting!
We just finished summer here in Australia but this spring my boyfriend is moving here from Canada, I am beyond excited :) I’m a bit worried about how he will handle an Australian summer though! :)

Thanks! Oh wow I don’t know how an Australian summer compares to a Florida summer but I can imagine it’s worse. But better than the snow I think :)
AHH so awesome that you’ll be in NYC this summer! So much to do and see and EAT there :) And I just went back and read your NYC marathon post since I don’t think I was following you blog then yet- so cool!

i LOVE nyc. ive been a bunch of times. maybe 7 ? and going back in june. im also looking forward to running in central park this time.there is just something about the place and i love to see how it changes and evolves. im not sure i could ever live there. i do like a city but i want a city i can afford to live in oh say more than a 100 sqft apt : )
im actually considering a move to charlotte in the next few years. middle size city with better weather. my friend lives in houston adn love it. i visited but i feel like it didnt have much character. now nyc….thats character !
Running in Central Park tops the list of my favorite things to do in the city. Part of the reason I wanted to live there for the summer is to see if I could handle it longterm. I’ve never been but I’ve heard Charlotte is an awesome city!
WAHOO! Way to live BIG and dream BIG…cannot wait to hear what kind of awesomeness you are going to get into in that big city.

You’re so sweet! Thank you! It’s a big step out of my comfort zone but I like to think of it as a “calculated risk” ;)
Ahhh congratulations!!! I can’t wait to see all the cool things you do!

Congrats! A few of my cousins have lived in NYC and absolutely loved it. When all the Northerners complain how hot it is, you will probably thinks it’s perfect weather – ha!

Thanks, Lauren! I think it’s great for summer. Not a full commitment to city living but a taste of it.
That’s so exciting! I have never been to New York (I live really close just in Toronto) so i’m definitely going to try and make it out there some time soon.

I’ve never been to Toronto, so you’ve got me there ;) But I highly suggest visiting!
That sounds like an amazing summer! I am going to be at home during my break from undergrad & starting Dental school. I have an interview for a job at a gym this weekend, so fingers crossed I get that and will keep busy!
