Anyone who knows me knows I love workout clothes. I practically live in them because they are more socially acceptable than sweatpants. Plus, did I work out? Did I just wake up from a nap? No one will ever know.
Therefore, I was thrilled to be able to try out a few pieces from the new Puma Ignite XT line as part of my involvement with FitFluential. If you are in the Miami area, there’s a new Puma store inside the Macy’s at Dadeland Mall, which is my local go-to mall when I’m at school. Puma is constantly working to produce new standards for fitness and fashion. I should take a lesson from their book.
Here’s what I received:
–IGNITE Women’s XT Shoe
–Essential Graphic Bra
–Mesh It Up Layer Tank Top
-Cool Cell 3/4 Tights (can’t find the exact link online but this one is close)
So far I’ve worn the entire outfit twice, once to teach spin and once to do weights. I must say, I felt like I had my life together on these days because I was matching from head to toe. Very rare occasion for me.
Let’s start with the pants. They have a polka dot accent along the waist band and legs. It’s just enough design without being too busy or distracting. Super comfortable and functional…my only requirements.
The shirt is mesh with tiger-like stripes and an open back. You can’t quite see the mesh in these pictures but it’s perfect for workouts in Florida. It was probably my favorite item because it stands out but isn’t too tight or revealing in the front (not my style).
I personally own a lot of neutral color sports bras so this tiger print was a welcomed change and the open back top helped to show it off. I guess I don’t mind revealing my back!
Interesting note about the IGNITE XT shoes: the tongue is fixed on one side. What the heck does that mean? The tongue wraps around the foot at the medial side to support side-to-side movements. It’s ideal for dynamic and multi-directional workouts. One other thing to add…the shoe size ran a bit small for me so I would suggest ordering at least a half-size larger than normal.
Thank you, Puma, for the new addition to my wardrobe!

Obsessed with that top! I am the same way about wanting a stand out top that isn’t too revealing in the front. Guess I need to make a trip over to my Puma store soon :)

Ah I love the back of that top! I’m with you, I usually never ever match, but its fun when you do. The Brooks Pureflow 3 had a fixed tongue on one side. It didn’t get very good reviews, but I actually really liked how you didn’t have to adjust it or make sure it didn’t slide forward when putting the shoe on.

This looks great on you! Love the idea of an open back, but I’m always too nervous to wear them in public! That would be perfect for spin though. Love the graphics in the capris and bra..really cute!
Love these pieces! So cute. Love the subtleness of the blue colors but the interesting patterns.

LOVE the open back!! Super cute. I’m with you- I’m not about revealing clothing for the most part. But I like that little “business in the front, party in the back” action!

That tank is adorable!!!! Definitely something to just be comfortable in, I wouldn’t even bother wearing it for workout!
There is nothing wrong with workout clothes all of the time.

I really like the tank and bra. I do not like Puma shoes, but that is OK. It is so nice that they send nice things!!!!

I love that tank top! My workout and running outfits tend to be a real mismatch of items so I guess its time for me to make a bit more effort… however, ‘comfortable and functional’ will always win at the end of the day. xx

I actually ordered TWO of those tops & got them but they’re a little too big so I am going to return them. I thnk it’s for the best too cause really, I DO NOT NEED anymore work out clothing! ha ha ha!
