Don’t get mad if I mention the weather again…it has just been incredible. I want to spend all of my time outside before the heat and humidity return. Runs felt great, yoga felt great. So, I guess great sums it up…? While I do workout a lot, the rest of my day is spent sitting in class or at work. At least 10 hours, which I know is not good. Plus, at the end of the day, my hips are so tight. My body needs some movement so my goal moving forward is to do something after the longer days, most likely stretching on my own.
Sunday: Yoga. It was PACKED. There was one hand width in-between our mats. That’s what happens when you go yoga during a teacher training weekend…but I loved the energy.
Monday: 5 miles + SoulCycle. Recap of my SoulCycle experience tomorrow!
Tuesday: Yoga. For some reason going to 6 a.m. yoga before my longest day of the week feels good to me.
Wednesday: Spin. Seriously loving teaching in the morning this semester.
Thursday: 4.5 miles + Yoga. I’ve gotten into a groove with yoga and have stayed in my comfort zone (we all know how I am with that). But I took a few more risks than normal (arm balances, inversions) and I felt pretty awesome. I came out of the class so energized and wanting more.
Friday: 4.5 miles with the sunrise.
Saturday: 7 miles. My stomach was bothering me when I went to bed Friday so I stuck around campus in case I needed a bathroom #runnerprobs. I need a change of running scenery!
Happy Sunday! xo
How many hours a day do you spend sitting?
What was your favorite workout of the week?
Yes! Besides my working out, I sit ALL DAY! So so so horrible. :(
YAY! I am so excited to hear about your soulcycle experience! I hope it was as great as mine!

It was awesome! :)
I spend a lot of the day walking around campus and then of course, running in the morning, but other than that I’m sitting all day! I mostly start to feel it at night after I’ve been doing homework for a bunch of hours in a row…

Couldn’t agree more! I need to get (or make) a standing desk.
gahhh every time I read your posts it reminds me of how badly I need to get to yoga! Looks like a great week of workouts and I’m super jealous of the weather. I need to visit Florida ASAP.

Get here ASAP!
Looks like a great week of workouts for you! I don’t spend a lot of time during the day sitting – as a personal trainer, I’m usually on my feet while at work! It’s the evenings and weekends that usually get me, from blogging :P

My mom is a personal trainer and she says the same thing. I would be extra lazy in the evenings and on weekends in that case.
I don’t have the slightest idea how many hours a day I spend siting. It just depends what the girls and I have going on that day, and what needs done around the house & what errands need taken care of.

I bet you are one busy lady now!
I haaaaaate sitting so much at work. I’m seriously getting pancake ass. I used to be way more active when I was working as a barista… but I guess it comes with the territory! Glad you’re loving the weather in FL 8) We’re pretty spoiled in Austin lately, too!

Omg I complain about my butt hurting all the time because I sit so much. Plus some of the chairs in class aren’t comfortable haha.
