Hi from Boston! If I only could say one sentence today it would be: I hate the cold. Only semi-kidding ;) But Boston is beautiful especially around the holidays.
As for workouts this week, I think I did 300 vinyasas. I wish there was a way to keep track without me actually counting (distracts from the practice) because it would be cool to see. Yoga was the theme of the week. As I mentioned on Thursday, my knee has been feeling a little sore so I made sure to take extra precautions this week and just do what felt good. Rest, yoga and a little spin seemed to do the trick because my body is feeling mostly back to normal. Except for this annoying head-cold that I caught a few days ago. Let’s just say flying was NOT fun for me…or the people next to me. I have no clue how/if I will workout this week but I’m sure I’ll squeeze something in.
Monday: 15 min on the spin bike + hot vinyasa flow
Tuesday: Off
Wednesday: Hot vinyasa flow + spin
Thursday: Hot vinyasa flow
Friday: Hot vinyasa flow + weights. Not going to lie, after doing weights for a mere 20 minutes last Sunday I was sore for most of the week. So it took me this long to get my ass back in the gym.
Here’s what I randomly decided to do:
Supersets (3 round of 12 reps each)
-Lat pull downs
-Tricep pushdowns (on the cable machine)
-Bicep curls
-Shoulder press
12-1 reps (12 of each, then 11 of each, 10 of each….down to 1)
-KB swings (but I used a dumbbell because my gym doesn’t have any KB)
-Squats
Saturday: Off. 10 hours of travel, so kind of the opposite of a workout- ha!
Sunday: Maybe a short run or weights. Probably some walking around Boston.
Happy Sunday…will check back in tomorrow!
Hate to hear about your knee. Try to get some rest girl! ps. I finally emailed you back :)
It’s feeling much better after taking it easy! Hope YOU are feeling better.

Rest has done wonders for my knee. Feeling strong again!
Wow, great job on the vinyasas! I use a cheap watch with a lap counter to keep track of my laps in the pool, maybe that would work for you? I don’t know how difficult it would be to hit a button after each one. Have fun in Boston!

I might just have someone stand in the back and count :P
Flying with a head cold is the absolute worst – hope you’re feeling better! That would be awesome to see how many vinyasas happen within a weeks time! But so true, very distracting and negating to the practice. I’m glad your workouts seemed to be good with your knee and that it continues to keep feeling better.

Thanks, Sarah! I’m feeling much better :) We need to invent some vinyasa counting device.
