Another week of random workouts! I think I did a little of everything this week…except hop on a spin bike. I’ve needed a break from that. I enjoyed these workouts especially because every day was bookended with naps and laziness. I’m not kidding when I say that I wore pajamas more than regular clothes this week.
Sunday: 8 miles with my dad. We are running the Disney Half Marathon in a few weeks and it will be our second half marathon together. We averaged about 8:45 pace for this run. I personally don’t have a goal for this race, but I’m sure my dad secretly wants to beat his time from the first race (1:53). We run at the same pace and do a good job at subtly pushing each other. Running with someone is the best way to stay motivated.
Monday: Yoga (60 minutes). I guess you can call it a flow class. Again, nothing like my Baptiste studio in Miami but I’m learning to adjust my expectations. I still enjoyed the class!
Tuesday: Orange Theory (3.25 miles + a total of 1500m rowing + weight room circuit). Woah, remember Orange Theory? I went 2-3x a week over the summer and then stopped during marathon training. The internet was broken at the studio so we didn’t wear heart rate monitors. It worked out to my advantage because, since I’m not in HIIT shape, I didn’t get “numbers crazy” trying to get my heart rate up.

I’m next to the person in rabbit pose, so you can’t see me. Source
Wednesday: Power Yoga (90 minutes). This class wasn’t heated, but I broke a sweat. It was a goodbye class for one of the teachers and the room was packed! I think it was the most challenging class I have been to at my studio in Tampa.
Thursday: 4.25 miles with my dad. It took some willpower to change out of pajamas at 1 p.m. but it ended up being a nice Christmas afternoon run.
Friday: 30 minutes of weights. I wasn’t in the mood for cardio so I put together my own weight circuit. I did a “12 days of Christmas” theme that I’ve seen around the blog world lately (start with the exercise on “day 1” then complete “day 2 and day 1,” then “day 3, day 2, day 1,” etc…)
Saturday: 3.25 miles. I was planning on 4 miles but I just couldn’t get into this run. Oh well, it happens.
My dad and I hope to cover 10 miles tomorrow as our last longer run before the half marathon.
Have a great rest of your Sunday! xo
I’m jealous that you’ve gotten to do Orange Theory! Something I want to try if I ever get the chance to be by a studio!
I totally wish I had someone to run with! For now it’s just me and my thoughts, haha!

You should definitely check to see if there is an Orange Theory near you! First class is free (and then it gets pricey haha).
Awesome week of workouts! I found it harder to get motivated this week with the business of Christmas, but it looks like you had a great week! I think Orange Theory would be an awesome class to try out- sounds like an intense workout!!

It’s been really hard to change out of pajamas and workout. But I just tell myself I can put back on comfy clothes and sit on the couch when I’m done :)
Great week of workouts! I know I said this last week, but I just think it’s so awesome that you & your dad are running a half marathon together. What a great way to make new memories!
Thanks :) I’m looking forward to it! And I know my dad is happy about it too…he’ll just express it when the race is over haha.
Awesome week! It is awesome that you get to do the WDW Half with your dad – that will be so much fun. You two are going to rock it :)

Thanks, Sam! I’m so excited. And I’m thrilled to be doing the half and not the full this year haha
